I promised that I would soon post a blog about everything I have done in the month that I have not posted a damn thing here, and I will make good on that promise soon! Tonight, however, has been spent in a blur of signing up for classes next semester and trying various methods of getting out of my funk. I think it has been working because for the last 20 minutes I've been doctoring a photo I took of my notes from YASMI*.
I want to give you a taste of how I operate in class, as well as give you an UNCENSORED LOOK at the Cyrillic language, in block print (because cursive is SO passé).
Without further ado....MY NOTES!
I'm sorry for all the blasphemy. I don't really know where that comes from.
*I'm not sure if I've properly explained exactly what YASMI is. Well, folks, YASMI is "The Language of Mass Media" and it has so far involved lessons on topics including (but not limited to) skinheads, holidays, social groups and radio programs. I used to dislike it, but now it's probably my favorite class
Anyway, I'll leave you with this titillating post and promise FOR THE LAST TIME that you should definitely see a new post soon!
Ciao,
Emily
(Also, I am allowed to say "Ciao" because even though it's not Russian, it IS a foreign language and my wonderful French-Canadian roommate MH says it a lot.)
